Detailed knowledge on Global Plastics Treaty and on current/upcoming EPR practices. How are these affecting the packaging industry?

In this workshop, we will focus on two of the greatest influences of the plastics market. (1) The Global Plastics Treaty is an international agreement being negotiated by 175 countries and started in 2022. It is expected to fundamentally change the rules of the plastic materials market. (2) Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is included in the Treaty and the recent PPWR requirements and is expected to expand its influence across the packaging supply chain.

Questions to be answered:

 

  • What are the requirements of the Global Plastics Treaty?
  • How is the Treaty expected to affect the industry?
  •  What should I expect from the new EPR targets for my company?
