{"id":1578,"date":"2020-09-20T12:50:36","date_gmt":"2020-09-20T09:50:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.packlab.gr\/?p=1578"},"modified":"2022-06-13T15:35:11","modified_gmt":"2022-06-13T12:35:11","slug":"new-amendment-of-regulation-eu-10-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.packlab.gr\/en\/new-amendment-of-regulation-eu-10-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"New amendment of regulation (EU) 10\/2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1534\" src=\"https:\/\/www.packlab.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/2shutterstock_530369062-2-300x174.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.packlab.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/2shutterstock_530369062-2-300x174.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.packlab.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/2shutterstock_530369062-2.jpg 656w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of September, the new regulation (EU) 1245\/2020 has been published, amending the well-known (EU) 10\/2011 on plastic materials intended to come into contact with food. \u00a0\u00a0This amendment contains many binding changes regarding migration testing on food contact materials (FCM).<\/p>\n<p>Among others, a new limit for primary aromatic amines (PAA) is published, which is now set at 2 ppb (0,002 mg\/kg food). This new limit sets a new base for <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.packlab.gr\/en\/chemical-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">packaging analysis<\/a><\/span>,<\/span> since the limit of quantification of the testing method is now changed.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, in Annex 2 of regulation (EU) 10\/2011 table 1 is added, which contains all the specific migration limits (SML) of 24 metalls (previously, only 9 metals had an SML).
