This indicates the need for additional education and guidelines for the integration of sustainability into packaging design.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Material_Choices_and_Cost\"><\/span><strong>Material Choices and Cost<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Responses also show that while <strong>57 %<\/strong> of designers believe they can influence the <strong>material choices<\/strong> of a product, a mere <strong>17 %<\/strong> <strong>said they almost never influence the material choice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, <strong>cost<\/strong> emerged as a major challenge in adopting sustainable packaging.
