Theodoros Paraskevopoulos
Contact compliance for pharmaceutical and cosmetics plastic packaging. Points to consider and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Companies which produce plastic packaging materials for the pharma and cosmetics industry often require specific standards for their compliance. For the pharma industry, there are specific directives which need to be respected such as EC 1572/2017, but the main rules are set by the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) guidelines. For cosmetic products, the packaging industry often follows the food contact regulation and also cosmetic products legislation EC 1223/2009. The above and many more around this topic will be discussed in detail in this workshop.
Questions to be answered:
- Which standards should I respect whenever I produce a packaging material for a pharma or cosmetic product?
- Which GMP rules should the production follow?
- What kind of documentation should I share with the final users of the packaging material?
