Our laboratory has officially expanded its accredited methods for chemical and mechanical testing, reinforcing our commitment to quality, compliance, and customer confidence.
We are now accredited for a broader and more advanced range of metal determination techniques. These include the specific migration, total content, and extractable content of critical elements in packaging materials, crucial for food safety and regulatory compliance.
We are also accredited for tensile testing of flexible packaging materials, to ensure smooth machinability and packaging strength.
What’s Now Accredited
Our scope now includes methods for the determination of:
- Specific migration of metals determined in legislation EC 10/2011 for plastic materials in contact with food.
- Content analysis of heavy metals through wet digestion techniques for compliance with the new PPWR legislation EC 40/2025.
- Extractable elements (Cd, Hg, Al, Pb) via cold or hot water extraction for paper materials in contact with food (compliance with national legislation, such as BfR XXXVI)
- Tensile properties of plastic films: Tensile stress and strain at break, according to ISO 527-3:2018.
Any methods used in the past (Overall migration, Coefficient of Friction, Seal strength testing) still remain in our accredited scope.
All the above parameters ensure that our processes meet the highest analytical standards, whether for migration testing, heavy metal content, or mechanical measurements.
