There are no additional costs for using the reusable packaging, and customers simply return the empty containers to their delivery drivers. The containers are then collected, sanitized, and refilled by suppliers. According to estimates from Ocado Retail and the Refill Coalition, if every UK household reused just one item per week, this could eliminate over 1.4 billion single-use packaging items annually.
