In this workshop, paper in contact with food will be discussed (both paper and multilayer materials, containin paper). As no harmonized legislation exists for paper materials in the European Union, users of paper need to comply with several national legislations, according to the sale market of the material. Greek, German and French legislation require specific rules for paper compliance, such as metals migration, sensory testing and color transfer. In this workshop, we will study in detail the aforementioned regulations, discuss specific details and tips and tricks to comply with them.
